Sausage Gravy

Ready in 30 minutes




Ingredients/Shopping List

  • 2 tubes of Sage Flavored Sausage

  • ½ cup Flour

  • 2-3 cups Milk

  • Salt & Pepper


Preparation

  1. Brown sausage in a large frying pan.   I “overbrown” it so some pieces are almost crispy.  HINT - it works best to NOT use a non-stick pan.  

  2. Once sausage is browned, do not drain - lower temp to low, add flour to pan and stir into sausage.  

  3. Once flour is slightly browned, add 2 ½  cups of milk slowly, stirring constantly.  Add salt and pepper to taste.  Let simmer to thicken.



Tips

If too thick - add milk

If too thin, put 1 tablespoon of flour in a cup,  add 2 tablespoons of milk - stir until smooth and add back.  Continue to simmer

Salt/pepper to taste
