Grandma’s Cheesecake
Ready in 1 ½ hours
Ingredients/Shopping List
Crust
9 Graham Crackers
5 Tablespoons Butter
¼ cup Sugar
Filling
3 packages of Cream Cheese - SOFTENED
6 eggs
1 cup sugar
1 ½ teaspoons vanilla
Topping
1 pint Sour Cream
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Preparation
Crust
Preheat oven to 350°
Finely crush graham crackers. Melt butter. In a small bowl mix graham cracker and sugar together, then pour melted butter over and mix until it is the consistency of wet sand.
Butter bottom of 9/13 pan and press mixture into the bottom
Bake for 10 minutes then let cool for 10 minutes. Cool oven to 300°
Filling
Mix softened cream cheese, eggs, sugar and vanilla together on MEDIUM until mostly smooth - don’t over mix!
Pour over the crust
Bake in 300° oven for 1 hour
Remove from oven and cool for 10 minutes
Topping
Mix topping ingredients together and pour over cake evenly
Bake at 300° for 8 minutes
Cool then refrigerate - cover with plastic wrap when cooled.
Tips
Don’t over-mix the filling or mix it at too high speed. It makes the batter too airy and will make the cheesecake crack.
I know the filling is delicious - don’t eat too much of it - your cake will be lacking 😀
